Every book has a story; we tell the story of how books are made.

Help us keep the story alive by donating.

The American Bookbinders Museum is the only museum of its kind in North America, celebrating and exploring the history, tools and stories of books and bookbinding, from the 16th century through the changes and innovations of the industrial revolution.

In addition to the craft of bookbinding, we focus on the stories of the men, women, and children, who worked in binderies.

Donations in cash and in-kind permit ABM to expand its tours, exhibits and educational programs to reach a community of book lovers, students, and bookbinders.
